CHEAP ROOMS  150 – 200  BAHT PER NIGHT

Even looking around Soi Boakoaw you will find rooms at some Guesthouses starting from as low as 150 baht but these rooms are very basic with just a light, a well worn bed, ceiling fan and a cold water shower in the room, these rooms are for short time purposes only and are not recommended for most people, they are usually used by Thai girls who need cheap accommodation, are short on money and have nowhere else to go.

BUDGET ROOMS  200 – 400  BAHT PER NIGHT

You can find plenty of budget rooms in and around Pattaya at guesthouses and small hotels, starting from 200 – 400 baht  per night and there are usually 2 types to choose from-

  • A Fan Room – a room usually consisting of the basics, bed, cold water shower, TV. and ceiling fan, but usually livable only for a short time until you find something better.  250 – 350 baht per night depending on the area
  • A/C Room – Much the same as the fan room, but with the inclusion of an air conditioning unit to cool things down a bit. 300 – 400 baht per night. I have stayed in a/c rooms in the back blocks of Pattaya that were very good quality, very clean and comfortable and secure, for 250 baht, but you have to know your way around Pattaya to find them and they are too hard to find for most short time tourist.
