IMMIGRATION AT JOMTIEN – NOT PATTAYA
Unfortunately the immigration office located in Soi 8 Pattaya closed down several years ago and there is no Immigration office In Pattaya. The new Chonburi Immigration branch for Pattaya is located at nearby Jomtien Beach, Just 5km south from Central Festival, Pattaya.
The Jomtien Immagration Office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and closed for lunch between 12:00 – 13:00, Closed on weekends and public holidays.
TIME TO JUMP THROUGH THE HOOPS
If you want a visa extension, or need to report in, or a residence certificate to buy a motor bike, car, or property, or maybe you just have some questions about a future in Thailand, this is the place to come.
The Immigration office is located on Soi 5 Jomtien and is Accessible from either the beach side, or the bypass side entrances. Baht buses will take you to Jomtien Beach along Thapphraya Rd from the Taxi rank not far from Walking Street on 2nd Rd for 10Baht and once at Jomtien, it’s a quick 5 minute walk to the immigration Office.
HOW TO GET THERE
Catch the Baht bus from 2nd Rd near Walking Street to Jomtien.
Once in Jomtien it’s just a matter of getting to Soi 5 along the beach, it’s easy.
This is the sign your looking for – Soi 5 Jomtien.
This is the entrance to Soi 5 on the beach, keep your eyes open.
When you see this sign, your in the right place for sure.
THE IMMIGRATION OFFICE JOMTIEN
Once you enter the Immigration compound there is a small parking lot on the right where if you are lucky you can park a car or motorbike if you have one. And to the left are a cafe and a couple of photo copying service providers available, so that if you need copies of your passport and visa’s and any other document needed, you can get it done here for 5 Baht per page.
Pattaya Immigration is really Chonburi Immigration
This is the building your looking for.
If your lucky you can park your car or motorbike here.
On the left is parking and the photo copy shops.
These offices are for copying the endless paperwork immigration wants from you.
Once your paperwork is in order, enter here to be processed.
Open hrs are – Mon – Fri – 8:30 – 4:30. Closed for lunch 12:00 – 13:00

INSIDE THE BUILDING
Once inside the building, to the left is the reception counter where you get the appropriate forms that you need and a number is issued to you when you have filled in your paper work.
On the right are some benches where you can fill in your forms.
AFTER YOU GET YOUR NUMBER
Once you have your number, take a seat and wait for your number to be called by a recorded announcement system, also your number will be displayed, as well as the counter you are to go to, on an electronic LED display.
WHEN YOUR NUMBER IS CALLED
Go to the counter, present your documents to the immigration officer and maybe answer a few questions, when the documents have been processed, pay the fee for the service, then you will be given another number and instructions to wait a while to collect your documents, or come back tomorrow for collection.
